• Personality Compatibility: Based on your profile responses and interactions

The more complete your profile, the better matches you'll receive. You can adjust your preferences in Settings to fine-tune your matches.

Creating an engaging gaming profile increases your chances of meaningful connections:

• Gaming Library: Add your favorite games and what you're currently playing
• Gaming Clips: Upload your best highlights and epic moments
• Profile Photos: Include photos of your gaming setup, yourself, or game screenshots
• Bio: Describe your gaming personality, what you're looking for, and fun facts
• Availability: Set your typical gaming hours and preferred communication style
• Gaming Goals: Whether you're looking for casual friends, competitive teammates, or dating

Be authentic and specific about your gaming interests to attract like-minded connections.

If you're experiencing login or connection issues, try these solutions:

• Check Internet Connection: Ensure you have a stable internet connection
• Update the App: Make sure you have the latest version from the App Store
• Restart the App: Close and reopen GamerConnect completely
• Check Server Status: Visit our status page for any ongoing service issues
• Clear Cache: Delete and reinstall the app if problems persist
• iOS Requirements: Ensure your device meets minimum system requirements

If issues continue, the problem may be temporary. Try again in a few minutes or check for app updates.

Compatibility scores help you understand how well you match with other gamers:

• Score Range: Compatibility scores range from 1-100, with higher scores indicating better matches
• Gaming Compatibility (40%): Shared games, genres, platforms, and skill levels
• Schedule Alignment (25%): Overlapping playtime availability and time zones
• Personality Match (20%): Communication style, gaming goals, and social preferences
• Activity Level (15%): Similar engagement levels and app usage patterns

Scores above 70 typically indicate strong potential connections. However, don't ignore lower scores - sometimes opposites attract in gaming partnerships!

Customize your notification preferences for the best gaming experience:

• New Matches: Get notified when you have a new compatible gaming partner
• Messages: Receive alerts for new conversations and replies
• Gaming Invites: Notifications when connections invite you to play
• Profile Views: Know when other gamers check out your profile
• Quiet Hours: Set times when you don't want to receive notifications

Access notification settings in your profile menu > Settings > Notifications. You can also manage iOS notification permissions in your device settings.

If you're unable to access your GamerConnect account:

• Verify you're using the correct email address associated with your account
• Try logging in with Apple Sign-In if you originally signed up that way
• Check your email for any password reset instructions
• Ensure your internet connection is stable
• Update the app to the latest version

If none of these solutions work, you may need to create a new account if your original account cannot be recovered.

To update your gaming preferences and improve your matches:

• Go to your Profile → Edit Profile → Gaming Preferences
• Update your favorite games, genres, and platforms
• Adjust your skill level preferences and competitive vs casual gaming style
• Set your availability hours and preferred gaming schedule
• Choose what type of connections you're looking for (friends, teammates, dating)

Changes to your preferences will improve future matches. Your compatibility scores with existing connections may also update.

To permanently delete your GamerConnect account:

• Go to Settings → Privacy & Safety → Delete Account
• Review what will be permanently removed (profile, matches, messages, clips)
• Enter your password to confirm deletion
• Your account will be deactivated immediately and permanently deleted within 30 days

Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Consider deactivating your account first if you might want to return later.

GamerConnect takes safety seriously. To report inappropriate behavior:

• From a Profile: Tap the three dots menu → Report User
• From Messages: Long-press the message → Report
• Report Options: Harassment, inappropriate content, fake profile, spam, or other issues
• Block Users: Immediately prevent further contact by blocking

Our moderation team reviews all reports within 24 hours. Serious violations result in immediate account suspension or permanent bans.

Control who can see your profile and contact you:

• Discovery Settings: Choose who can see your profile in matches
• Location Privacy: Control how precise your location appears to others
• Gaming Activity: Hide or show your online status and recent gaming activity
• Profile Visibility: Make certain profile information visible only to matches
• Messaging Permissions: Control who can send you messages

Access privacy settings in your Profile → Settings → Privacy & Safety.

Block users to prevent any form of contact or interaction:

• To Block: Go to their profile → three dots menu → Block User
• What Blocking Does: Prevents messaging, matching, profile viewing, and game invites
• Manage Blocked Users: Settings → Privacy & Safety → Blocked Users
• To Unblock: Find them in your blocked list → Unblock

Blocked users are not notified that they've been blocked, and the action is reversible.
