How do I set up my dietary preferences? +
When you first open VibrantEats, you'll be guided through our comprehensive onboarding process. Select all dietary restrictions, allergies, health goals, and taste preferences that apply to you. You can always update these later in Settings > Dietary Preferences. The more information you provide, the better our AI recommendations become.
How does the AI recommendation system work? +
Our AI analyzes your dietary preferences, health goals, previous dining history, and location to provide personalized restaurant recommendations. The system learns from your interactions - when you save restaurants, rate meals, or skip suggestions - to continuously improve its recommendations for you.
Why do I need to enable location services? +
Location services help us find healthy restaurants near you and provide accurate distance and travel time estimates. You can disable location access, but you'll need to manually enter your location to see relevant recommendations. We only access your location when the app is in use.
How do I create an account? +
Download VibrantEats from the App Store, open the app, and tap "Create Account." You can sign up with your email address or use Apple ID for faster registration. Complete the dietary preferences questionnaire to start receiving personalized recommendations immediately.

Subscription & Premium

What's included in VibrantEats Premium? +
Premium includes unlimited AI recommendations, advanced dietary filters (50+ options), nutrition analytics dashboard, weekly meal planning with grocery lists, priority customer support, and a completely ad-free experience. Free users get limited daily recommendations and basic features.
How do I upgrade to Premium? +
Tap the "Upgrade to Premium" banner in the app or go to Settings > Premium. Choose between monthly ($9.99) or annual ($99.99) subscriptions. Payment is processed through your Apple ID, and you can start with a 7-day free trial to explore all Premium features.
How do I cancel my subscription? +
Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID settings, not within the VibrantEats app. Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone, find VibrantEats, and tap "Cancel Subscription." Your Premium features will continue until the end of your current billing period.
How do I restore my purchases? +
If you reinstalled the app or got a new device, go to Settings > Premium > Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. Your Premium subscription should restore automatically within a few minutes.
What's the difference between monthly and annual plans? +
Both plans include identical Premium features. The annual plan ($99.99/year) saves you over $20 compared to paying monthly ($9.99/month). Annual subscribers also get early access to new features and exclusive content from our nutrition experts.

How do I use advanced dietary filters? +
Premium users can access advanced filters by tapping the filter icon on the main screen. Combine multiple dietary restrictions (gluten-free + vegan), set calorie ranges, specify macro ratios (low-carb, high-protein), choose preparation methods (grilled, steamed), and filter by specific nutrients like sodium or fiber content.
What dietary restrictions are supported? +
VibrantEats supports 50+ dietary preferences including: Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-Free, Keto, Paleo, Dairy-Free, Nut-Free, Soy-Free, Low-FODMAP, Heart-Healthy, Diabetic-Friendly, Low-Sodium, Low-Carb, High-Protein, Raw Food, Organic, Non-GMO, and many more specialized diets.
How do I save favorite restaurants? +
Tap the heart icon on any restaurant card to save it to your favorites. Access saved restaurants from the "Favorites" tab at the bottom of the screen. You can organize favorites into custom lists like "Date Night," "Quick Lunch," or "Family Dinner" for easy meal planning.
How do meal plans and grocery lists work? +
Premium users can generate weekly meal plans by going to the "Meal Plans" tab. Our AI creates balanced meal schedules based on your preferences, including restaurant visits and home cooking. Grocery lists are automatically generated for home meals and can be shared with family members or integrated with grocery apps.
How accurate are the nutritional insights? +
Our nutrition data comes directly from restaurants and verified third-party databases. We work with certified nutritionists to ensure accuracy, but values may vary due to preparation methods and portion sizes. Always verify with restaurants if you have severe allergies or strict dietary requirements.

🍽️ Restaurant Data

How often is restaurant data updated? +
Restaurant information is updated weekly for menu changes and pricing. Hours of operation and contact information are updated daily. Seasonal menus and limited-time offers are updated as restaurants report them. We encourage users to verify current information directly with restaurants.
Can I suggest new restaurants? +
Yes! Use the "Suggest Restaurant" feature in Settings to recommend healthy restaurants in your area. Provide the restaurant name, address, and why you think it should be added. Our team reviews all suggestions and adds qualifying restaurants within 2-3 weeks.
Why don't I see certain restaurants in my area? +
VibrantEats focuses on restaurants with verifiable healthy options and nutritional information. We may not include restaurants that don't meet our healthy dining criteria or lack adequate menu transparency. We're constantly expanding our database based on user feedback and new partnerships.
How do you verify healthy menu options? +
Our team of nutritionists reviews menus to identify healthy options based on ingredient quality, preparation methods, nutritional balance, and allergen information. We partner directly with health-conscious restaurants and verify information through multiple sources before adding to our database.

👤 Account Management

How do I update my dietary preferences? +
Go to Settings > Dietary Preferences to update your restrictions, allergies, and health goals anytime. Changes take effect immediately and will improve your recommendations. You can also retake the full preferences quiz to update everything at once.
How do I change my location? +
If you've moved or want to explore restaurants in a different area, go to Settings > Location. You can set a new default location, add multiple locations (home, work, etc.), or temporarily search in a different city without changing your default.
How do I enable/disable notifications? +
Manage notifications in Settings > Notifications. You can customize alerts for new restaurant recommendations, meal planning reminders, weekly nutrition summaries, special offers, and app updates. Turn off specific types while keeping others enabled.
How do I delete my account? +
To delete your account, go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data, preferences, and dining history. Cancel any active subscriptions first. Account deletion cannot be undone, but you can create a new account anytime.

🔧 Technical Issues

App crashes or won't load +
Try force-closing and reopening the app. Ensure you have the latest version from the App Store. Restart your device if issues persist. Check your internet connection and try switching between Wi-Fi and cellular data. Contact support if crashes continue.
Login issues +
Verify your email and password are correct. Use "Forgot Password" to reset if needed. If you signed up with Apple ID, use that login method. Clear the app's cache by deleting and reinstalling. Ensure your device date and time are correct.
Location not working properly +
Check that Location Services are enabled for VibrantEats in your device's Privacy settings. Try toggling location permissions off and on. Ensure you have a strong GPS signal by going outdoors. Manually set your location in app settings as a backup.
Subscription not activating +
Premium features should activate within minutes of purchase. Try "Restore Purchases" in Settings > Premium. Ensure you're signed in with the Apple ID used for purchase. Restart the app and check your internet connection. Contact Apple Support if payment issues persist.
