1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to CubeCoach! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CubeCoach mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading, accessing, or using CubeCoach, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. User Accounts

Account Creation

To access certain features of CubeCoach, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach

Age Requirements

CubeCoach is available to users of all ages. However, if you are under 13 years old, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service. Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring and supervising their children's use of CubeCoach.

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we deem inappropriate or harmful to other users or the Service.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use CubeCoach only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

4. Subscription & Premium Features

Free Tier

CubeCoach offers a free tier that includes basic features such as the 3x3 cube timer, 3D viewer, algorithm library, and 3 AI hints per practice session. Free features are provided "as-is" and may be modified or discontinued at any time.

Premium Subscription

CubeCoach Premium is a paid subscription service that provides access to additional features including:

• Unlimited AI hints and step-by-step solutions
• Additional puzzle types (2x2, 4x4, Pyraminx, Megaminx, etc.)
• Advanced analytics and progress tracking
• Video tutorials and masterclasses
• Global leaderboard access
• Ad-free experience

Pricing & Billing

Refunds & Cancellations

All purchases are processed through Apple or Google, and refunds are subject to their policies:

• You can cancel during the 7-day trial period without being charged
• After the trial, refunds must be requested directly from Apple or Google
• We cannot process refunds as we don't handle payment processing
• If you cancel, you'll retain Premium access until the end of your billing period
• No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period

Changes to Pricing

We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect existing subscribers until their next renewal period. We will notify you at least 30 days in advance of any price increases.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

Our Content

All content, features, and functionality of CubeCoach, including but not limited to:

• Software code, algorithms, and AI models
• User interface design and graphics
• 3D cube visualizations and animations
• Algorithm library and tutorial content
• Video lessons and educational materials
• Logos, trademarks, and branding

are owned by CubeCoach or our licensors and are protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you create using CubeCoach, including:

• Your solve times and personal records
• Custom scrambles you create
• Notes and personal training plans

By using the Service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to use, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. We will not share your personal solve data publicly without your explicit consent.

Leaderboards & Public Data

If you opt-in to global leaderboards, you consent to public display of your username and solve times. You can opt-out at any time in Settings.

Feedback & Suggestions

If you provide us with feedback, suggestions, or ideas about CubeCoach, you grant us the right to use, modify, and incorporate that feedback without compensation or attribution.

6. AI Hints & Solutions

CubeCoach uses artificial intelligence to provide hints and solutions. You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI suggestions are generated algorithmically and may not always represent the most optimal solution
• There are often multiple valid ways to solve a cube state
• Hints are meant as learning aids, not definitive answers
• We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated content
• AI features require an internet connection and may occasionally be unavailable

Use of AI hints in official WCA competitions is strictly prohibited and may result in disqualification. CubeCoach is a training tool and should not be used to circumvent competition rules.

7. Third-Party Services & Links

CubeCoach may contain links to third-party websites, services, or resources (such as YouTube tutorials, cubing retailers, or community forums). These third-party services are not under our control, and we are not responsible for:

• The content, accuracy, or reliability of third-party sites
• Privacy practices of external services
• Any damages or losses caused by your use of third-party services

Your interactions with third-party services are solely between you and that third party. We recommend reviewing the terms and privacy policies of any third-party services you access.

8. Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CubeCoach and its affiliates, officers, employees, and licensors shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill
• Service interruptions or technical failures
• Errors or inaccuracies in content or solve time tracking
• Unauthorized access to your account or data
• Damages arising from use of third-party services or links

Our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is less.

No Guarantee of Results

While CubeCoach is designed to help you improve your solving skills, we make no guarantees about specific results, time improvements, or competitive success. Individual results depend on practice, dedication, and natural ability.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CubeCoach, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Any content you submit or transmit through the Service

10. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

Informal Resolution

Before filing a formal claim, you agree to first contact us at legal@cubecoach.app to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We commit to working with you in good faith to resolve any issues.

Binding Arbitration

If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except that:

• Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement
• You may bring claims in small claims court if they qualify

Class Action Waiver

You agree to bring claims against us only in your individual capacity and not as part of any class, consolidated, or representative action. Similarly, we agree to bring claims against you only in an individual capacity.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes not subject to arbitration shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
• Notify you via email or in-app notification
• Provide at least 30 days' notice for changes that materially affect your rights

Your continued use of CubeCoach after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including:

• Breach of these Terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Repeated violations of our Acceptable Use Policy
• Extended periods of inactivity
• At our sole discretion for business reasons

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. You may also terminate your account at any time by deleting it through the app settings. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CubeCoach regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.
