• Process premium subscriptions and validate purchase receipts
• Enable community features for posts, comments, and group discussions
• Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries
• Ensure security and prevent fraud or misuse of the app

We do NOT sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

• With your explicit consent: When you choose to share content publicly in community features
• With service providers: Firebase (Google Cloud) for secure data storage and authentication; Apple for payment processing and subscription management. These providers are bound by confidentiality agreements.
• To comply with legal obligations: When required by law, court order, or government request
• To protect our rights: To prevent fraud, security breaches, or violations of our Terms of Service
• In business transfers: If CleanseTogether is acquired or merged, your data may be transferred to the new entity (you will be notified)

Important: Your private journal entries and quiz responses are never shared with other users or third parties except as required by law.

• Encrypted HTTPS connections: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted
• Firebase Authentication security: Industry-standard authentication protocols protect your account
• Secure cloud storage: Your data is stored in Firebase/Firestore with access controls and encryption at rest
• Regular security audits: We regularly review and update our security practices
• Password protection: Your password is hashed and never stored in plain text

While we take security seriously, no system is 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account credentials.

• Access your personal data: View all data we have about you at any time through the app (Profile → Settings → My Data)
• Request deletion: Delete your account and all associated data permanently (Profile → Settings → Delete Account)
• Opt out of promotional communications: Unsubscribe from marketing emails (we send very few of these)
• Export your data: Download your journal entries and progress data (Profile → Settings → Export Data)
• Update your information: Modify your profile, preferences, and settings at any time
• Control notifications: Manage push notification preferences in app settings

• We retain your data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services
• You may request deletion at any time by contacting support@cleansetogether.com
• When you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal data within 30 days
• Backup copies are purged within 90 days of account deletion
• Some community posts may be retained anonymously to preserve discussions
• Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics may be retained indefinitely for analytics

7. Children's Privacy

CleanseTogether is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately. Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers (primarily Firebase/Google Cloud) operate data centers. These countries may have different data protection laws than your country of residence. By using CleanseTogether, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations. We ensure that all data transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.

We use Firebase Analytics and similar technologies to understand app usage and improve user experience:

• Authentication tokens: To keep you securely logged in
• Local storage: To save app preferences and cache data for better performance

• Crash reporting: To identify and fix bugs and crashes

You can adjust these settings in your device privacy controls (iOS Settings → Privacy → Analytics & Improvements).

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or app features. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or via email.
