At SketchMyApp LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the VitalAge mobile application ("VitalAge" or "the App"). By using VitalAge, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address
  • Name
  • Date of account creation
  • Authentication credentials (securely hashed)

Health Profile Information

To calculate your biological age and provide personalized insights, we collect:

  • Age, gender, height, and weight
  • Activity level and exercise habits
  • Sleep patterns and quality
  • Stress levels and lifestyle factors
  • Dietary preferences

Important: This health information is stored securely and used to calculate your biological age and personalize your health recommendations. If you enable the optional AI-powered analysis feature, anonymized health metrics (not your name or email) are sent to OpenAI for processing. See the "AI-Powered Analysis" section below for details.

Apple Health Data

With your explicit permission, we may access:

  • Heart rate and heart rate variability
  • Step count and activity data
  • Sleep analysis data
  • Other HealthKit metrics you authorize

Apple Health data is used within the app for biological age calculations. If you enable AI-powered analysis, anonymized health metrics derived from Apple Health may be processed by OpenAI. You will be asked for explicit consent before this occurs.

Subscription Information

If you subscribe to VitalAge Premium, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but never have access to your payment card details, billing address, or other financial information.

Usage Analytics

We collect anonymized usage data to improve the app:

  • Features used and frequency
  • App crashes and error reports
  • Session duration
  • Device type and operating system version

This data is aggregated and anonymized—it cannot be used to identify you personally.

How We Use Your Information

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Firebase, a Google Cloud service with industry-leading security practices. We implement:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
  • Secure authentication with Firebase Auth
  • Regular security audits and updates
  • Access controls limiting data access to essential personnel only

Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: Firebase (data storage), Apple (payments), OpenAI (optional AI analysis) - bound by strict data protection agreements
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or government request
  • Safety: To protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the public

AI-Powered Analysis

VitalAge offers an optional AI-powered biological age analysis feature. When you enable this feature, the following anonymized health metrics are sent to OpenAI for processing:

  • Age, gender, and BMI
  • Sleep duration and quality
  • Activity and exercise levels
  • Stress level
  • Smoking and alcohol habits
  • Diet type and health conditions

What is NOT sent: Your name, email address, Apple ID, or any other personally identifying information is never sent to OpenAI.

How OpenAI handles your data: Data is processed via OpenAI's API in real time. Under OpenAI's API data usage policy, data sent through the API is not used to train their models and is retained for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring before being deleted.

Your control: You will be asked for explicit consent before AI analysis is used for the first time. You can enable or disable this feature at any time in your profile settings. If you decline, VitalAge uses a built-in algorithm that does not transmit data to any third party.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Correct: Update inaccurate information in your profile
  • Delete: Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Export: Receive your data in a portable format

To exercise these rights, use the account settings within the app or contact us at the address below.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention).

Children's Privacy

VitalAge is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Your continued use of VitalAge after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
