At SketchMyApp LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the FocusPilot: Focus Timer mobile application ("FocusPilot" or "the App"). By using FocusPilot, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Date of account creation
  • Authentication credentials (securely hashed)

Focus Session Data

When you use the focus timer and related features, we collect:

  • Focus session start times, durations, and completion status
  • Tasks you create, edit, and complete
  • Mental health exercise usage and progress
  • Life planner entries and goals
  • Emotional check-in responses
  • Progress tracking and streak data

Important: This data is stored securely and used solely to provide you with personalized productivity insights and track your progress. We do not share this information with third parties.

Apple HealthKit Data (Optional)

With your explicit permission, FocusPilot may integrate with Apple HealthKit to:

  • Write focus session data (e.g., mindful minutes) to HealthKit

Important: HealthKit integration is entirely optional. You can enable or disable it at any time in your device settings. We do not sell, share, or use HealthKit data for advertising or marketing purposes, in compliance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines.

Subscription Information

If you subscribe to FocusPilot Pro, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but never have access to your payment card details, billing address, or other financial information.

Usage Analytics

We collect anonymized usage data through Firebase Analytics to improve the app:

  • Features used and frequency
  • App crashes and error reports
  • Session duration
  • Device type and operating system version

This data is aggregated and anonymized -- it cannot be used to identify you personally.

How We Use Your Information

To Provide Focus and Productivity Tools

  • Run focus timer sessions using the Pomodoro technique
  • Manage and track your tasks
  • Deliver mental health exercises (CBT, DBT, ACT-based)
  • Provide emotional support and check-ins

To Track Your Progress

  • Display your focus session history and streaks
  • Generate productivity insights and trends
  • Show task completion statistics

To Improve FocusPilot

  • Analyze usage patterns to enhance features
  • Fix bugs and improve stability
  • Develop new features based on user needs

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Firebase, a Google Cloud service with industry-leading security practices. We implement:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
  • Secure authentication with Firebase Auth
  • Regular security audits and updates
  • Access controls limiting data access to essential personnel only

Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: Firebase (data storage and analytics), Apple (payments) - bound by strict data protection agreements

FocusPilot is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Your continued use of FocusPilot after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
