Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:

- Authentication credentials (securely hashed)
Property Search Data
When you use the property search and analysis features, we collect:
- Property addresses and locations you search
- Search filters and preferences (price range, bedrooms, etc.)
- Saved properties and favorites
- Property reports you generate
- Notes and tags you add to properties
Important: Property data is sourced from third-party providers (such as Zillow). We do not independently verify the accuracy of third-party property listings.
Insurance Claim History Data
When you request insurance claim history reports for a property, we query third-party data providers. The results are stored temporarily to generate your report and are not shared with other users. Claim history data is associated with the property address, not with you personally.
Location Information
With your permission, we may access your device location to show nearby properties and provide location-based search results. You can disable location access at any time through your device settings.
Subscription Information
If you subscribe to HomeTrack AI Pro or purchase individual reports, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but never have access to your payment card details, billing address, or other financial information.
Usage Analytics
We collect anonymized usage data to improve the app:
- Features used and frequency
- App crashes and error reports
- Session duration
- Device type and operating system version
This data is aggregated and anonymized -- it cannot be used to identify you personally.

AI-Powered Features
HomeTrack AI uses artificial intelligence to analyze property data and generate risk assessments. AI analysis is based on publicly available data, insurance claim histories, and property characteristics. AI-generated insights are provided for informational purposes only and should not be considered professional appraisals or inspections.
Property data submitted for AI analysis may be processed by third-party AI service providers. This data is not used to train AI models and is handled in accordance with strict data processing agreements.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Firebase, a Google Cloud service with industry-leading security practices. We implement:
- Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
- Secure authentication with Firebase Auth
- Regular security audits and updates
- Access controls limiting data access to essential personnel only
Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in these limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: Firebase (data storage), Apple (payments), Zillow (property data), AI analysis providers -- bound by strict data protection agreements

Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. Property reports you generate are stored for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention).
Children's Privacy
HomeTrack AI is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
